It's a New Year! Time to get busy!

The holidays have passed and we had the wonderful opportunity to help out 8 individuals for the holiday season.  The kids were helpful in choosing some gifts and especially so in the book department.  Every child should have a new book, why not some favorites from this house?  We hope they become favorites in a new household soon.

Time for spreading some cheer to others this year.  I am personally taking a challenge to go out of my way to do something nice for someone each day.  I am going to challenge the kids to think of something nice to do for someone as well.  It will be fun to hear what they come up with!

So, for day 1:  Today I sent an email to an old friend from high school.  She often brings a smile to my face with her FB updates and I wanted her to know it.  Smiles are a great thing!
